At The Hair Station, our Guest Experience Team plays a vital role in creating a warm, seamless, and elevated experience for every guest. These active, hands-on roles focus on guest care, communication, and supporting the flow of the salon.

We're looking for team members who have:
Guest Experience Team Associate
$15+ per hour + tips + ongoing training & growth potential
A great opportunity for someone who loves people, enjoys staying busy, and wants to be part of a supportive, growth-focused team.
Licensed Guest Experience Team Member
$17+ per hour + tips + education + growth potential
For professionals with a current Maryland Cosmetology or Barber license. In addition to supporting guests and salon operations, you'll assist with shampooing, blow-drying, color applications, and finishing services.
You'll also receive access to our digital training classroom and one paid monthly coaching session with a Hair Station educator focused on technical, business, or interpersonal skills. We love to promote from within, and Licensed Guest Experience Team Members are often first in line when stylist opportunities become available.

I started my career in the beauty industry in 2005, and over the years I’ve experienced just about every side of salon life...chain salons, independent salons, commission, booth rental, and even rebuilding my clientele after moving states a couple of times. Those experiences taught me firsthand how rewarding, challenging, and sometimes overwhelming this industry can be.
Funny enough, becoming a salon owner was never part of the original plan. But after years of thinking, “There has to be a better way,” I took the leap and became the owner of The Hair Station in November 2019. Since then, I’ve gradually stepped away from behind the chair to focus on what I love most: supporting our team and building something special together.
These days, my work looks a little different. I spend my time building the brand, marketing for our team, creating systems and opportunities, and cultivating an environment where people can do their best work and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. I love helping our stylists create success in their own way because I don't believe there's only one path in this industry.
Whether it's teaching a haircut, troubleshooting a color formula, helping craft the perfect text to a client, or navigating a difficult conversation, I'm always available to support, teach, and cheer our team on. I believe the little moments matter, and some of the greatest growth happens in those everyday conversations.
I'm a lifelong learner and am constantly studying business, leadership, and marketing so I can better serve our team and our guests. I believe in open communication, honest feedback, and creating a culture where growth is celebrated and challenges are faced together.
More than anything, I want The Hair Station to be a place where people feel supported, inspired, and empowered to become the best version of themselves. Watching our team members grow in confidence, achieve their goals, and develop into leaders themselves is, without a doubt, my favorite part of what I do.
