Our apprenticeship program is a paid internship that once finished will enable the apprentice to qualify to take the Maryland Cosmetology State Board Test to become certified.

What is a blow dry stylist?
Maryland Certified Blow Dry Stylist
Did you know that Maryland offers a blow dry stylist license to cosmetology students that have reached 350 hours? This is an amazing opportunity to start to start at a salon, or even a blow dry bar, to see if the culture is a good fit for your career, to begin to grow your book and add to your portfolio!
Steps you will need to take:
1. Complete and return the eligibility form, pages 39-40. This will need to be filed out by the student and school director.
2. Once eligible, register and take the Blow Dry Stylist theory(see page 11) and practical exam(see page 28.). This is great practice for your cosmetology exam and sure to help ease your nerves for your big test!
3. Apply to The Hair Station ;)
