I started my career in the hair industry in 2005, and over the years, I’ve experienced just about every side of it—chain salons, independent salons, commission, and booth rent. I’ve moved states and rebuilt my clientele more than once, so I truly understand the challenges, uncertainty, and growth that come with being a stylist.
I never originally set out to become a salon owner, but after years of thinking “there has to be a better way,” I decided to take the leap in November 2019. Since then, I’ve gradually stepped away from behind the chair to focus fully on growing the business and supporting my team.
Today, my passion is developing stylists—not just in their technical skills, but in their confidence, careers, and leadership. I believe this industry has so much to offer, and my goal is to help our team navigate it with clarity, support, and intention. I am constantly learning and evolving in the areas of business and marketing so that I can better lead, educate, and empower our team to work smarter, not harder.
I’m a big believer in open, honest communication and creating a space where feedback, growth, and even tough conversations are part of the process. More than anything, I love helping our team grow into the best version of themselves—and maybe even future leaders or salon owners.

The Salon Support Team is the foundation of the salon, ensuring a seamless, elevated experience for both guests and stylists. This role supports daily operations, enhances the client experience, and allows stylists to focus fully on their craft.
This team includes both individuals pursuing a future behind the chair and those passionate about salon operations and guest experience. The Foundation Phase is where everything begins. This is where stylists focus on building a strong technical foundation, developing confidence, and learning how to deliver an exceptional, consistent guest experience.
During this stage, stylists are part of the salon support team, contributing to the flow of the day while gaining hands-on experience behind the chair. This is where habits are built, standards are set, and the groundwork for a successful career is established.
Progression is based on your performance—your productivity and your ability to retain clients through an exceptional experience.
Compensation: Hourly pay. Average $23,000 – $34,000 with full time hours

The Growth Phase is about building momentum and taking ownership of your business behind the chair. Stylists are focused on consistency, refining their technical skills, and creating a strong, elevated guest experience every time.
At this stage, you’re actively growing your productivity and building client retention as you begin to establish a loyal clientele and define your brand.
Compensation: Hourly pay or 40% commission on sales + tips (average $38,000–$47,000 with full-time hours)

Compensation: Hourly pay or 43% commission on sales + tips (average $49,000–$59,000 with full-time hours)

Compensation: Hourly pay or 45% commission on sales + tips (average $61,000–$85,000 with full-time hours)
